Job Description:
PA support required for a 10 year old boy who has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a caring, kind, and patient Personal Assistant (PA) who can offer friendship and companionship. The role includes supporting play times and engaging in enjoyable activities. In addition to providing friendship, you will also support with feeding and personal care. The individual is able to communicate verbally but requires a PA who is patient and able to give them the time and space they need to express themselves in their own way and at their own pace.
Required Training:
Experience with manual handling is required.
Hobbies and Interests:
The individual enjoys watching sport, particularly rugby and cricket, and likes playing video games. A PA who shares or is happy to engage in these interests would be especially well suited to the role.
There are no pets within the home, the individual requiring support does not smoke and the PA is not permitted to smoke during working hours.
How will the hours be used?
Hours are to be used flexibly, (10 hours during term time and 20 hours holiday time, average 12.5 hours per week)
Hourly rate for an employed PA is £13 per hour.
