School Business Manager

Grade 8, SCP 31-35 (andpound;41,771-andpound;46,142 FTE pro rata for hours and weeks worked)

Term Time Only andndash; 40 weeks, 30 hours per week

Due to a recent retirement, we are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and forward-thinking School Business Manager to join our aspirational, supportive and positive team. This is a key leadership role within our school, ideal for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused and committed to ensuring the very best operational foundations for our children and staff.



We are willing to discuss how the 30 hours are best allocated across the school week. While the role is primarily based in the school office, occasional off-site working may be required or agreed.



About the Role



The successful candidate will take strategic and operational responsibility for the schoolandrsquo;s business functions, ensuring that Seaburn Dene Primary School continues to run efficiently, safely and sustainably. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Management

Team to support the smooth running of the school and enable teaching staff to focus on what matters mostandmdash;excellent learning and pastoral care.



You will:

Lead the schoolandrsquo;s business operations across finance, procurement,andnbsp;HR, health and safety and infrastructure
Manage financial processes including budgeting, SAP, purchasing,andnbsp;Service Level Agreements and financial reporting
Provide high-quality administrative leadership to ensure efficientandnbsp;day-to-day operations
Support the Headteacher with data, reports and information for theandnbsp;Governing Body
Liaise with external contractors and oversee service agreements
Lead statutory returns including annual audits, termly Census returnsandnbsp;andnbsp;and building lease-related processes
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, DBS, GDPR, health andandnbsp;safetyandnbsp; and financial regulations
