Job Introduction

We have a new and exciting opportunity! Join us as a Commercial Finance Analyst, supporting our IT and Transformation teams. Your role is pivotal in analysing financial performance generating insightful management information for informed decision-making and contributing to setting ambitious yet achievable business plans to fulfil our goals.

Please note, this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Wakefield office

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll deliver clear financial insight and support decision-making across the business. You will produce P&L reviews and provide analysis to senior stakeholders, including ad-hoc executive requests. You’ll also support investment decisions through business case and capex analysis, as well as produce monthly KPI reporting with clear performance commentary.

You’ll ensure the accuracy of key retail metrics, own data for forecasting and modelling, and support budgeting cycles while improving financial models to enhance insight. The role also involves analysing costs, identifying efficiency opportunities, and maintaining finance tools and processes, alongside delivering high-quality ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decisions.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability; experience or interest in Power BI/SAP
  • Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in understanding the wider business
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach and strong attention to detail
  • Curious and proactive in understanding key business drivers and their impact
  • Confident building relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Adaptable, able to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Driven by continuous improvement and delivering high-quality insight
