Summary
Here is an exciting opportunity suited to a reliable and hands-on Stores Person to join a growing and supportive operations team within a well-established manufacturing business.
This role is ideal for someone with warehouse, stores, stock control, logistics, or manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, teamwork, and organisation are key.
You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our stores operation by receiving goods, maintaining accurate stock records, supporting production requirements, and ensuring materials are available where needed.
Working closely with the Supply Chain and Production teams, you’ll help maintain high operational standards while contributing to continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and check incoming goods against delivery paperwork and quality requirements
Accurately book stock in and out
Support production teams by ensuring stock availability and timely material movement
Carry out stock checks and investigate stock discrepancies where required
Prepare materials and components for internal use and dispatch
Ensure warehouse and stores areas remain clean, organised, and safe
Assist with goods in/goods out activities
Coordinate deliveries and collections where required
Safely operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment (training can be provided)
Work collaboratively with Stores Operatives, Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain teams
Support training and knowledge sharing across the department
Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, organisation, and stock accuracy
Demonstrate flexibility to support changing operational priorities
Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
Report any stock, equipment, or safety concerns promptly
What We’re Looking For
Experience within a warehouse, stores, manufacturing, logistics, or stock control environment
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and communication skills
A positive and reliable attitude
Basic IT skills and confidence using stock systems or Microsoft Office
Forklift Truck licence (desirable but not essential)
Experience using ERP or warehouse systems (is an advantage)
