Role Overview
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and approachable Security Guard to help maintain the safety and security of our premises, staff, members, and visitors. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring a calm and supportive atmosphere within a community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control access to the building and surrounding premises
Conduct regular patrols of the site to ensure safety and security
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or disturbances
Support staff with safeguarding and de-escalation where appropriate
Monitor for unauthorised access, anti-social behaviour, theft, or damage
Assist during events, workshops, and community activities
Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records
Ensure fire exits, alarms, and health & safety procedures are followed
Liaise with emergency services when required
Assist with opening and closing procedures of the building
Requirements
Valid SIA Licence
Previous security experience preferred
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Professional, calm, and approachable manner
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Understanding of safeguarding and working within diverse communities is desirable
