# About the Role
Hotel Santa Maria is seeking reliable, hard-working, and detail-focused Cleaners / Room Attendants to help maintain excellent cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the hotel.
This role is essential to ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable, welcoming, and well-presented environment during their stay.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Head Housekeeper and will play a key part in delivering high standards across guest bedrooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Bedrooms
* Clean and prepare guest bedrooms to hotel standards
* Change bed linen and make beds neatly and professionally
* Clean bathrooms thoroughly
* Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise rooms
* Replenish towels, toiletries, tea/coffee supplies, and guest amenities
* Ensure all rooms are ready for guest arrival on time

Public Areas
* Assist in cleaning corridors, stairwells, lifts, reception areas, and public spaces
* Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment throughout the hotel
---
Teamwork & Communication
* Report maintenance issues or damaged items promptly
* Work cooperatively with housekeeping and reception teams
* Follow instructions from supervisors and management
* Support colleagues during busy operational periods
---
Health & Safety
* Follow hotel cleaning procedures and standards
* Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
* Adhere to Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
* Help maintain a safe working environment
---
Essential Skills & Qualities
We are looking for someone who:
* Takes pride in cleanliness and presentation
* Has good attention to detail
* Is punctual and reliable
* Can work efficiently and independently
* Has a positive and professional attitude
* Is physically capable of carrying out housekeeping duties
* Works well as part of a team

Desirable Experience
* Previous hotel, housekeeping, or cleaning experience
* Experience in hospitality or customer-facing environments
