The Mead Community Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Class Teacher to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that follow the school’s curriculum while developing your own classroom practice and confidence. You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, setting high expectations that inspire and motivate every child to achieve their full potential. You will assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress, using this to shape your teaching and support strong outcomes for all learners. You will work closely with teaching assistants, experienced colleagues, and parents, building supportive relationships that help you grow professionally while benefiting pupils. You will contribute to the wider life of the school, gaining valuable experience in curriculum development and whole-school initiatives. You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils by following safeguarding procedures and developing effective behaviour management strategies. What the school offers its staff
The Mead is a happy, vibrant place where children are enabled to dream, strive, achieve and celebrate. It is situated across two sites on the outskirts of Trowbridge; a larger site with 14 classes and a Nursery in Hilperton, and a smaller setting with four classes (including a pre-school provision) in Wingfield village. There are extensive grounds on both sites, which include wildlife areas, trim (agility) trail, pond, fruit and vegetable gardens. These are used extensively to enhance approaches to teaching and learning.
The friendly, energetic and professional staff work together to establish a happy, popular school community. They take pride in offering a rich and vibrant curriculum with specialist teachers in music and PE, as well as early language learning for all years.
The career progression for staff is well-recognised, supporting initial teacher training through to roles at a leadership level.

All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
