C~urb is looking for an Apprentice Plumber to join our Property Maintenance team. The Apprentice Plumber will work in the In-House Trades team to deliver a high-quality service to Link’s tenants.

The Apprentice Plumber will work under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, carrying out all aspects of plumbing work on refurbishments and reactive maintenance in Link’s properties. You will work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, requiring attendance at college along with practical experience.

This role involves assisting tradespersons with general plumbing work, including new installations and repairs. Working under direction of an experienced tradesperson, you will learn the process of understanding drawings and work in accordance with specifications.

The Apprentice Plumber will assist with routine checking and testing of all types of plumbing systems, including the location and repair of faults. During this apprenticeship you will also learn about Gas servicing and repairs and be able to work on the Gas install teams. The post holder will demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect for property, maintaining expected standards of work and ensuring workspace is kept tidy.

About You

As an Apprentice Plumber, you will have a willingness to undertake the industry approved pre-employment assessment, which will be carried out if selected to the interview stage of the selection process. You will have a minimum of four National 4 or National 5 qualifications (or equivalent).

This role requires a commitment to completing the required practical and academic training requirements of the apprenticeship. The Apprentice Plumber will have an ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to carry out manual duties.

You will have a willingness to learn new skills and will have good time management and strong communication skills. The post holder will have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
