Summary
The purpose of the role of Learning & Development (L&D) Officer is to design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions focusing on building a skilled, professional workforce, closing skills gaps and preparing for future needs through embedding a learning culture across the organisation.
The main things you will be doing are:
- Understand the Organisational strategy and future capability need to identify learning priorities for the Commission.
- Design and deliver engaging, blended learning solutions that are aligned with the organisation’s objectives and create learning environments where people can continuously develop.
- Manage internal and external training bookings, ensuring compliance to training provider procurement and value for money within the training budget.
- Manage the planning and implementation of the corporate induction programme
- Ensure statutory training requirements are met to reach our people performance standards.
- Manage and maintain local management systems to record accurate learning records.
- Produce clear reports on L&D activity and evaluation against objectives and measures, providing information on value for money and return on investment on a regular basis.
- Be the first point of contact for L&D queries from staff and external stakeholders, managing the learning and development inbox.
- Manage the Commission Apprenticeship programmes and levy.
- Work with Internal Communications to effectively promote the learning and development offer, ensuring opportunities are shared and the L&D intranet page is kept refreshed and updated
- Be a Learning and Development professional by keeping up to date with new and emerging trends and respond accordingly.
- Undertake other duties compatible with the role which will require flexibility.
