Summary
Job Title: Air Hygiene OperativeContract: Permanent Type of Employment: Full TimeHours: 40 Hours Per WeekShift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (18.30 - 22.30)Location: City of Edinburgh Council, 329 High Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH1 1YJJob OverviewThe main part of your role will be to assist the Lead engineer on delivering ventilation, ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.Field based; will be expected to travel within the region.
Main Duties
-Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease
-Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144
-Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999 Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed
-Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed
-Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant
-Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories
-Ensure that service sheets are submitted prior to leaving site
-Conduct and submit a pre-work risk assessment prior to every job
-Conduct all works as instructed via the schedule
- Ensure that work is conducted safely in line with the RAMS
