Shift Pattern:
Monday – Friday
Start times: 4:00am / 5:00am
Approx. 10-hour shifts
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver to join a busy and growing waste & recycling operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver with strong route knowledge of the Midlands area, looking for stable work within a supportive team and a well-established company.
The Role:
As a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting commercial waste using a modern fleet of vehicles, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Driving and operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
Collecting commercial and trade waste from customer sites
Facilitating the collection of wheeled bin containers
Following planned routes efficiently to maximise productivity
Operating bin-lifting equipment safely
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and waste handling procedures
Reporting any delays, incidents, or vehicle defects promptly
Providing professional and courteous customer service
Requirements
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
Strong route knowledge of the Midlands region
Good communication and teamwork skills
Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and moving bins
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous waste & recycling experience advantageous but not essential
Must have the legal right to work in the UK
