Location: Coventry, CV3 area
Pay Rate: £14.16 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Rotating shifts:
5:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 11:00pm
1 in every 4 Saturdays required
Overtime available on Saturdays
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for Mobile Plant Operatives to join our client based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy recycling and resource management facility offering ongoing work, training opportunities, and career progression within a growing industry.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the site by operating machinery safely and efficiently while assisting with general operational duties across the facility.
Main Responsibilities
Operating Wheeled Loading Shovel, Counterbalance FLT, Clamp Truck and Baler equipment
Loading, moving, and processing materials around site
Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects
Supporting general site operations and assisting with additional duties where required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Working closely with the operations team to achieve productivity targets
What We’re Looking For
Loading Shovel and Counterbalance licences desirable
Clamp Truck experience beneficial
Mechanical awareness and understanding of machinery maintenance
Previous experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred
Reliable and safety-conscious approach
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
Training and upskilling opportunities can be provided for the right candidate.
