Applications are invited from well-motivated, enthusiastic persons for the post of Clerk Receptionist in East Lancs Sexual Health Services.

Applicants should have experience of working with the general public on a day to day basis. Experience of clerical work and having excellent organisational skills would be beneficial. Sexual Health Services uses their own IT patient record system and therefore the candidate must be computer literate as well as being practical and adaptable.
Well developed communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team are vital requirements for this post. Due to the specialist nature of this service, an open, non-judgemental and positive attitude is necessary.
Shift patterns may potentially include working long days, evenings and weekends and working at our sites across East Lancashire.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

The post holder will assist in the provision of clerical support to the team members working in East Lancs Sexual Health team by undertaking basic office procedures in order to maintain an effective and efficient office system. Shift patterns may include working long days, evenings and weekends.

Face to face and telephone contact with members of the public will be undertaken, and the checking of clinic registration forms to ensure they have been completed correctly. Such information will include patient date of birth, address, GP, and telephone numbers.
