Summary
Clinical: To manage PICU patients under the supervision of the Chief PICU Fellow and Consultant on Duty. To take part in a full-shift rota which will include being resident when on the night shift. To undertake teaching and guideline development within the fixed rota. To participate in the Paediatric Retrieval rota, initially in a Supernumerary role, the length of which will depend on previous Retrieval experience. To have the opportunity to gain airway and access skills experience in theatres. To participate in the training of the Retrieval Nurse Practitioners. To undertake a P.A.L.S or A.P.L.S Course if have not already done so. Training of junior staff: The post holder will take responsibility for the training and direction of junior staff allocated to him/her under aegis of the training plan that that post holder has agreed with their supervising consultant.
