Summary
Job Description.
The post holder will be responsible for loading/unloading vehicles as well as driving HGV vehicles to various sites to collect/ deliver materials for the construction of scaffolding in accordance with Transport regulations.
Truck Driver responsibilities include:
Transport goods / materials to and from destination
Inspect vehicles prior and post driving using the nil defect walkaround process and report any defects accordingly.
carry out minor repairs to vehicles ie, light bulbs, lubricant top up etc.
Plan routes
Keep vehicles in a clean and presentable manner.
Document and log work/rest periods
Comply with HGV driving rules and regulations (size, weight, WTD and Driving break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Ensure loads are safely secured prior to any driving and when on breaks/rest periods.
carry out and log checks on equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience.
Proven work experience as a HGV class 1/ 2 driver
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid CPC and DQ Card, we are willing to put the right candidate through cpc training, but ideally require it.
Ideally a clean HGV class 1/ 2 driving license but will consider options based upon endorsements.
Ideally counterbalance fork truck license, we are willing to train the right person.
Qualifications.
HGV class 1/2 full license
Minimum experience driving HGV vehicles considered.
Driver CPC.
Driver Q card.
CSCS HS site card
