Job Description:Are you a caring, motivated individual who wants to make a genuine difference to a young person's life?We are looking for a part-time SEN Support Worker / ABA Therapist to join our home-based support team for a 19-year-old young man with autism in the Pudsey area (LS28).This is a deeply rewarding role with full professional training provided — no prior experience is necessary, just the right attitude.About the Person You'll Be SupportingOur young man has been on an incredible journey over the past 14 years. With dedicated support, he has progressed from being non-verbal and hyperactive to now speaking over 200 words, managing his emotions, and following instructions. You will be joining a committed team helping him continue to grow toward greater independence.What the Role Involves
- Delivering ABA and Verbal Behaviour (VB) therapy sessions at home
- Supporting Speech & Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy programmes
- Taking part in fun activities including swimming, bike riding, rock climbing, and trampolining
- Acting as a trusted companion, mentor, and positive role model
- Part-time: 10–25 hours per week
- Weekly 1:1 training sessions with qualified professionals
- Hands-on training in ABA, VB Therapy, Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, and Sensory Integration
- Ongoing supervision and guidance from an experienced team
- Awareness or understanding of autism
- Patient, positive, and reliable
- Willing to learn and take on feedback
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in ABA, VB therapy, or Intensive Interaction
- Previous care, support work, or teaching assistant experience
- Driving licence and access to a car
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Enhanced DBS check (can be arranged)
- References covering the last 6 months
