We're looking for a Water Technician who will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water treatment systems, ensuring water safety and full regulatory compliance across customer sites.

Role Responsibilities
-Complete allocated water hygiene and treatment jobs within agreed timescales.

-Accurately complete and submit all documentation in real time via electronic systems.

-Maintain high compliance standards, with no more than one audit failure per year.

-Act as the lead technician or responsible person when working as part of a team.

-Ensure all works are completed in line with current legislation and fully documented.

-Deliver tasks in accordance with Marlowe Environmental Services procedures and method statements.

-Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards for colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.

-Plan and organise work to maximise efficiency and ensure deadlines are met.

-Liaise with client representatives and report issues to the Field Manager where required.

-Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose at all times.

-Deliver Level 1 & Level 2 water hygiene tasks and specialist services, including:
-Closed heating and chilled system testing

-Cooling tower weekly and monthly checks

-Boiler water treatment

-Plumbing and water treatment remedial works

-Acid descaling of boilers, towers, and condensers

-Interpret test results and reports, making technical recommendations where required.

-Support training and development of less experienced technicians.

Additional duties may include secondary disinfection testing, plant inspections, silver/copper analysis, BSRIA chemistry and microbiological sampling, and closed‑system dosing.

Required QualificationsApplicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

-Advanced knowledge of water treatment and compliance processes.

-Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

-Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.

-IT‑confident, with the ability to use mobile and tablet‑based systems.

-Valid UK driving licence and ability to pass DBS/security checks.

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
