Job Title: Full-time - Support Worker
Location: York, YO24
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00 Days / 20:00-08:00 Waking Nights)
Contract Type: Full-time; 36 hours

About the RoleAs a Support Worker, you'll provide practical help with daily tasks, offer emotional encouragement, and promote social inclusion, enabling people to lead fulfilling lives at home and in the community.
We are building a team for a vibrant young adult in York with complex needs, including Autism (PDA traits), ADHD, a Learning Disability, and Tuberous Sclerosis. We maintain a 3:1 staffing ratio to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
The service user is highly creative and active. He enjoys arts and crafts, specifically construction and building things out of boxes. He also has a passion for aeroplanes, music, gardening, and visiting parks.

Maintain high engagement during 12-hour shifts.

Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care team.

Ensure a safe, respectful, person-centred environment.

Experience: Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.

Activity Level: Must be fit and active enough to participate in daily hobbies and walks.

Driver Status: Ideally a driver, but not essential.

Right to work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
