Summary

Keepers Cottage Boarding Kennels Ltd are looking for a trainee kennel assistant - no experience necessary!

For us, the right attitude is everything. We can turn you into an amazing Kennel Assistant but we can’t instil the key character traits required to succeed.

If you dream of a rewarding career with dogs then this might just be the opportunity for you.

We’re looking for two highly motivated trainee Kennel Assistants to be guided by and work alongside our fabulous team we have already.

You’ll be hard working, punctual and receptive to learning.

We will teach you the required skills but you must bring the right attitude and work ethic. You could be the most naturally gifted dog lover in the world but if you can’t bring the basics, this isn’t going to work out.

You’ll be a positive, outgoing people person who loves creating positive change.

We won't just teach you how to walk, clean and care for dogs better and faster than 99% of the industry... We’ll also provide career progression opportunities and help you develop further skills ranging from client handling to sales and people management to content creation. If you love animals but don’t like people, this isn’t the role for you.

You’ll be reliable, dedicated and self motivated.

We’re incredibly loyal to our people. We’ll expect the same in return from you. Working with and caring for animals is a big responsibility, 365 days a year. We simply can’t have people in our team who are unreliable, need their hands holding or aren’t comfortable working on their own initiative whilst holding themselves accountable.

You’ll be forward thinking, adaptable and embracing of change.

We are a new start business and whilst we’ve walked a similar path before we’ll be constantly adapting and refining our systems, processes and services. We get extraordinary results because we do things differently. That means things are always changing for the better.

You’ll be active, outdoorsy and love getting your steps in.

If you love being outdoors, exploring new places and hate lounging around then this could be your dream job... Between training on site and walking our precious guests, you'll be on your feet lots.

Be under no illusion - We look after dogs whether rain, shine or snow.

Have an eye for detail, dogged determination and a can-do mentality.

Looking after dogs and transforming the lives of people is incredibly rewarding. We achieve our goal by doing relatively simple things to an extremely high standard - consistently.

If you love a challenge and don’t stop until you’ve got something nailed, there's a high probability you’ll fit right in.

A bit about us:

Keepers Cottage Boarding Kennels opened it's doors in October 2024 as an exciting new start-up. We transform the lives of dogs... we stand apart by doing the unconventional.

We continue to improve by analysing our results and constantly refining our approaches.

Keepers Cottage Boarding Kennels offers overnight kennel accommodation, daily feeding and personalised care, regular exercise in secure areas, and optional walks. We can handle multiple dogs from the same household and are experienced with nervous or reactive dogs, all in a safe, supervised environment.

We have big plans. To help us achieve them we are building a committed, driven and loyal team.

We’d love to know if you’ve got what it takes to be a part of it.
