Our clients are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Catering Manager to oversee the catering operation within a welcoming school environment in East London, South London & Essex
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who takes pride in delivering fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals whilst leading a small and supportive kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience for students and staff while maintaining the highest standards across the kitchen.
With a fantastic work-life balance, term-time schedule, and supportive environment, this role is ideal for an experienced Chef Manager, Catering Manager, or Senior Chef looking for a rewarding and stable position.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals for students and staff
• Leading, supporting, and motivating the catering team
• Managing stock ordering, deliveries, and minimising waste effectively
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Ensuring all dietary and allergen requirements are met
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Delivering a consistently high standard of food and service
What Our Clients are Looking For
• Previous experience as a Catering Manager
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen compliance
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy kitchen environment
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and service
• School Chef experience desirable but not essential
