This is a genuine opportunity to shape and build a new home from the ground up, establishing a high-quality, safe, and nurturing environment for young people with complex needs who require stability, structure, and consistent support.
The Role:
As Registered Manager, you will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
You will lead, develop, and inspire a staff team, embedding a strong safeguarding culture and ensuring that each young person receives tailored, high-quality care that promotes positive outcomes and long-term progression.
Key responsibilities include:

- Overall operational leadership of the children’s home
- Recruitment, supervision, and development of the staff team
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks
- Oversight of care planning, risk assessments, and key documentation
- Managing rotas, staffing levels, and operational efficiency
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
- Ensuring the home consistently delivers high standards of care and compliance

About You:
This role would suit either:

- An experienced Registered Manager within children’s residential care, or
- A strong Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager position

You will bring:

- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability
- Proven experience within residential childcare settings
- Solid understanding of Ofsted frameworks and inspection requirements
- The ability to build and lead a stable, high-performing team
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
- Full UK driving licence

What’s on Offer:

- Competitive salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
- Performance-related bonus scheme
- Additional on-call payments
- Pension contribution
- Ongoing training and professional development
- The opportunity to shape and lead a brand-new children’s home from launch

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate leader who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable young people while playing a key role in the development of a new service.
