Ward 19 respiratory ward and respiratory support unit are looking for a qualified Nursing Associate, who has a passion for providing high quality patient focused care who have a flexible attitude towards work and a desire for new challenges.

On Ward 19 you will care for patients with respiratory illnesses and learn to care for patients with long term respiratory conditions such as COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, type 1 respiratory failure and type 2 respiratory failure.

We are focused on delivering an excellent service and welcome anyone passionate about providing outstanding care and compassion to our patients.

General duties will include , physiological observations and investigations. You will develop an in depth knowledge of , oxygen therapy, blood gas interpretation, wound management, chest drain and fluid balance management and provide personal care to patients.

As a Band 4 you will receive direct support from senior nursing colleagues to develop and enhance your skills. Enabling you to nurse a cohort of patients and be responsible for their care.

Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care.

Maintain accurate and complete records of all care activities, in a timely manner, adhering to local and professional standards for documentation.
