Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and chef's instructions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage food inventory and order supplies as needed.
Assist in menu planning and suggest daily specials based on available ingredients.
Support the head chef with kitchen operations and food preparation during peak hours.
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices when applicable.
Requirements
Proven experience working as a chef or in a similar culinary role.
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with health and safety standards in a kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive attitude, passion for cooking, and eagerness to learn new techniques.
