Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability.
Monitor kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
Handle customer feedback related to food quality or service issues promptly and effectively.
Experience
ideally management experience within a food environment, ideally as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation.
Demonstrable supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with hospitality operations, including managing staff schedules and inventory control.
