engineers and designers.

What You'll Do

  • Produce and develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for district heating networks and energy centres
  • Design and refine pipework layouts, routing and associated system components
  • Work independently on drawing packages with minimal supervision, using project briefs and engineering input
  • Interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings and design information
  • Update, revise and manage drawing revisions in line with project requirements
  • Maintain accurate design documentation and drawing registers
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers and site teams to support design coordination
  • Support clash detection, design coordination and model reviews
  • Ensure drawings meet relevant industry standards and company procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD 3D
  • Some industry experience, or currently studying a relevant engineering or CAD-related degree
  • 2nd or 3rd year students are preferred
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering layouts
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, Grade 4/C or above

Desirable

  • Experience using Autodesk Revit, either 2D or 3D
  • Previous exposure to district heating, energy networks or building services design
  • Interest in renewable energy and low-carbon infrastructure
  • Experience working in a consultancy or engineering environment
