Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of specialist construction projects within highly regulated environments. This role will involve managing all on-site activities across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and construction packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard, and within programme.

The successful candidate will have previous experience delivering turnkey projects within sectors such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture across site activities
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
- Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors across multiple disciplines
- Chair daily briefings and monitor progress against programme delivery requirements
- Ensure installation works are completed in line with project specifications and agreed timescales
- Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout delivery

- Coordinate construction activities covering:

- HVAC installations
- Mechanical works
- Electrical works
- Specialist cleanroom/laboratory fit-outs

- Monitor site quality, inspections and compliance documentation
- Support project reporting, planning and resource coordination

Requirements

- Proven experience managing turnkey construction projects
- Strong background overseeing construction, HVAC, mechanical and electrical packages
- Previous experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom environments is highly desirable
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery

Qualifications & Certifications

- SMSTS (Minimum Requirement)
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent (preferred)
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification
- CSCS Card
