Summary
We are a well-established precision engineering company based in Aston, Birmingham, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality tooling, jigs, fixtures, and precision components across a range of industries.
Due to upcoming retirements, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Toolmaker with a strong milling background to join our team, alternatively we would consider an apprentice trained Toolroom Improver.
The Role
You will be involved in the manufacture, modification, and repair of a wide variety of tooling and precision components. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision.
Typical work includes:
• CNC milling using XYZ machines
• Toolmaking for jigs, fixtures, and production tooling
• One-off and small batch precision components
• Tool repair, maintenance, and modification
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Miller in a toolroom environment
• Strong CNC milling experience (XYZ controls preferred)
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience with one-off and bespoke work (not just production machining)
• Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
What We Offer
• Varied and interesting work across multiple sectors
• Stable, long-established business with a strong reputation
• 33 days holiday
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Early finish Fridays (Monday – Thursday 7.30am-4.00pm, Friday 7.30am – 2.30pm)
