About the Employer
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and patient Personal Assistant to provide tailored support to an individual in her home in Solihull. A compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant is required to provide tailored support to an individual in her home in Solihull. This role would suit someone who is patient, caring and committed to making a positive difference in another person’s daily life. The successful applicant will help promote the individual’s dignity, wellbeing and comfort while building a positive one-to-one working relationship. The individual may self-injure and will require calm reassurance, emotional support and meaningful engagement. Duties will include supporting with personal care, assisting with feeding, spending time with her, offering reassurance when needed, and supporting activities she enjoys, such as listening to music. Applicants should be kind, dependable, patient and confident in providing calm support. Previous care experience would be helpful, but the right personality and approach are just as important. Any training required will be provided.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Required Training

First Aid. Training will be provided by the employer.
