Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within Colorectal Surgery, for a full-time permanent Band 6 Service Manager.

We are looking for a pro-active,dynamic, experienced manager with excellent communication, organisational, administrative, waiting list and staff management skills, with a proven track record of working in a demanding and fast paced environment.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring effective operational and strategic planning, development and management of the Colorectal surgical services to ensure compliance with national waiting time targets. To achieve this the postholder will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Divisional Managers, Consultants, Nurses and Admin Teams to ensure the effective delivery of Trust, Directorate and Team objectives.

We are looking to recruit staff whose values are in line with our Trust values. We are a large and busy healthcare provider and want staff who are resilient, focused and who have a “can do attitude”.

Applicants for this busy and dynamic role will need to have demonstrable experience of monitoring and managing healthcare targets, a team of other staff and also budgets at a basic level. It will also be essential that they understand health service provision. They will also be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, and will need to understand and report on complex performance information.
