Duties of a Workshop Contoller:
- Manage and organise all aspects of the bodyshop operations, including workflow and job prioritisation
- Conduct daily engagement meetings with technicians and support staff to monitor progress
- Oversee the maintenance of tools, equipment, and workshop health and safety standards
- Ensure all repair jobs are completed to set quality standards and in accordance with client expectations
- Manage waste disposal, utilities, and workshop security efficiently
- Coordinate between technicians, management, and customers to communicate progress and resolve issues
- Support the team to uphold technical quality and deliver excellent customer service
- Oversee stock control, documentation, and accurate completion of job cards
Requirements of a Workshop Contoller:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ATA, or equivalent recognised qualification in vehicle body repairs
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, or similar role within the automotive repair industry
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple repairs simultaneously
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes, quality standards, and workshop management systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A proactive attitude with the ability to motivate and lead a team as a Workshop Contoller
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
