Summary
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary mental health team, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective service delivery. Build and maintain strong partnerships across the Trust and with external stakeholders, including community teams, Adult Social Care, PCNs, and voluntary sector organisations. Deliver service targets and objectives, monitoring performance against key indicators such as NICE standards, CQUIN, quality outcomes, and financial performance. Provide day-to-day line management of staff, including appraisals, performance management, supervision, attendance management, and professional development. Ensure all clinicians receive appropriate clinical supervision and maintain high professional and clinical standards. Lead on recruitment, induction, workforce planning, and safe staffing levels, using ESR systems for leave, sickness, and training records. Provide visible clinical leadership in mental health assessment, care planning, risk management, and therapeutic interventions. Oversee the development and review of complex, person-centred care plans in partnership with service users and carers. Promote recovery, social inclusion, co-production, and patient-centred approaches across the service. Drive service improvement, innovation, and best practice through audit, research, evaluation, and policy development. Produce and present reports, audits, and performance data to senior managers using qualitative and quantitative measures. Ensure high standards of record keeping, documentation, governance, and compliance with Trust policies. Lead responses to incidents, complaints, Serious Untoward Incidents, Duty of Candour matters, and disciplinary or grievance investigations. Monitor health and safety standards and act as Site Responsible Officer when required. Support teaching, mentoring, and assessment of students in practice placements. Deputise for the Operational Lead and provide management cover for other Team Managers when required. Support budget management processes, including expense approvals and operational financial oversight.
