Summary

Are you a highly organised Manager? If yes, we would like to hear from you, to run our busy Information Governance Team to respond to Freedom of Information and Data Subject Access Requests and other tricky IG issues/ queries. You will be managing an experienced Information Governance Officer too.

In this role you will be processing all enquiries using the Council’s IT systems, chasing the provision of information and preparing responses to be sent to the public/ Corporate Management Team. It is an interesting and varied role, which involves liaising with the public, staff in all Council departments including members of the Corporate Management Team and external organisations.

You will need at least a Degree or an NVQ Level 6 in a managerial or professional field and 3 years qualitative experience to apply for this role. We also require evidence of continued professional development. You will also need to demonstrate a high standard of communication both written and verbal, be highly organised with excellent IT skills and attention to detail. You will also need to have an inquisitive mind to find out where to source information.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.

The hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 days per week working in the office).
