Summary
The post-holder will provide high-quality primary care services to the practice population, delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. The Salaried GP will undertake a full range of general medical services in accordance with the NHS contract and professional standards. Clinical Responsibilities Provide face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations for patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Prescribe medications appropriately and safely Undertake home visits where required Review pathology results, correspondence, and investigations Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services Participate in safeguarding processes for vulnerable adults and children Promote health education and preventative care Administrative Responsibilities Process clinical correspondence and workflow tasks Complete referrals, medical reports, and other documentation Participate in practice meetings and clinical discussions Support QOF, enhanced services, and practice improvement activities Team Working Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and wider practice staff Support training and supervision where appropriate Contribute positively to practice development and service delivery Professional Responsibilities Maintain full GMC registration and licence to practise Adhere to GMC guidance and NHS policies Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation Maintain mandatory and statutory training requirements Engage in continuing professional development (CPD)
