Summary
The post holder will be expected to have clinical experience in the clinical skills required (see essential and desirable criteria attached) and be able to support clinical staff in the transition from the simulated environment of the classroom to patient care facilities. This post would be suitable for a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Physicians Assistant, Nurse or for an applicant already embedded in a Clinical Post at the Trust. The post involves the co-ordination of teaching equipment and simulators in the Clinical Skills Lab, as well as maintaining stock levels for teaching sessions. To assist in the design and implementation of practical assessments throughout the undergraduate medical course as required by Cambridge Medical School. In addition, provide venepuncture, cannulation and ABG gases training for the new Foundation Doctors Year 1 during their Preparing for Professional Practice Week and Locally Employed Doctors / GP Trainees who have no experience of working within an NHS environment.
