Summary

I am a friendly 65-year-old woman living in my home with my husband; I have a good sense of humour and I have a busy schedule. I have MS and require support to complete all tasks from personal care, domestic support and administration.

Summary of Duties
• Personal care
• Preparing meals, snacks and drinks
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking (e.g. laundry, ironing, and tidying)
• Support with food shopping
• Supporting with taking medication and attending medical appointments
• Supporting with stretching and exercise
• Supporting social and leisure opportunities
• Assisting with hobbies such as crafting
• Supporting with administration tasks, including all communications (emails, letters), accessing the computer and internet, and helping with charity work
• Helping with pets (2 dogs and 2 cats)
• Driving
• Undertaking flexible working arrangements in accordance with identified
requirements
• Ensuring my safety at all times

The person I am looking for
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of caring for someone on a one-to-one basis
• Experience using hoists, operating powered wheelchairs, and other manual handling or mobility equipment
• Honesty and trustworthiness
• Good sense of humour and easy-going nature
• Flexibility
• Follows instructions
• Respects my privacy, dignity and confidentiality
• Respects my independence at all times
• Good communication skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Teamwork
• Has a full clean driving license

£13.70 per hour
10 hours per week over 2 days, plus occasional weekends. Flexibility needed.
