Summary

We are seeking a committed, resilient and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join our one of our partnered secondary schools' Provisions Unit, on a maternity cover basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to support students who require additional behavioural, emotional and pastoral support to help them engage positively with learning and achieve their potential.
- Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs within the Provisions Unit
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and families
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student progress
- Provide supervision and intervention support both in and outside the classroom
- Help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Have experience working with young people with behavioural or additional needs
- Be calm, patient and able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be flexible, proactive and passionate about supporting vulnerable students
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and inclusion practices

This post is offered on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
