Grave Digger / Cemetery OperativeWe are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and respectful individual to join our team as a Grave Digger / Cemetery Operative. This role is essential in supporting funeral and burial services with professionalism, dignity, and care.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation and excavation of graves to required standardsOperation of a 360 mini excavator and associated equipmentBackfilling and reinstatement of grave sites following burialsAssisting with burial services in a respectful and professional mannerGeneral cemetery grounds and maintenance dutiesEnsuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with regulationsEssential RequirementsPrevious experience in grave digging or cemetery operationsValid certificate/licence for operating a 360 mini excavatorPhysically fit and capable of carrying out demanding manual labourComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including muddy and dirty environmentsAbility to cope with the emotional demands associated with funerals and burialsStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailRespectful and compassionate approach when dealing with bereaved families and funeral staffDesirable SkillsExperience using additional plant machinery or grounds maintenance equipmentHealth & Safety awareness within construction or cemetery environmentsTeam player with good communication skillsWhat We OfferStable, full-time employmentSupportive working environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesCompetitive pay based on experienceIf you are dependable, respectful, and able to work in physically and emotionally demanding conditions, we would like to hear from you.
