Summary
Play Area Maintenance WorkerWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Play Area Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, installation, and maintenance of children’s play areas and associated equipment, helping to ensure safe, high-quality recreational environments across our sites.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out inspections, repairs, and maintenance of playground equipment and play areasInstall new play equipment, safety surfacing, and associated featuresInstall and maintain street furniture including benches, bins, fencing, and signagePrepare and complete groundworks including mixing, laying, and finishing concrete and tarmacUse a range of hand and power tools safely and effectivelyComplete reactive and planned maintenance works to a high standardEnsure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulationsMaintain accurate records of inspections and completed worksWork independently and as part of a team across multiple sitesEssential RequirementsProven experience inspecting, repairing, and installing play areas and playground equipmentExperience installing street furnitureExperience mixing and laying concrete and tarmacValid Street Works tickets/certificationAbrasive Wheels certificationStrong experience using hand and power toolsGood understanding of health and safety proceduresFull UK driving licenceDesirable SkillsExperience with safety surfacing repairsAbility to read site plans and technical drawingsCSCS card or other relevant construction qualificationsWelding or fabrication experience (advantageous)Personal AttributesReliable and punctualStrong attention to detailGood problem-solving skillsAble to work outdoors in all weather conditionsPositive attitude and strong work ethicWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryCompany vehicle and tools provided (where applicable)Ongoing training and developmentOpportunities for progressionFull PPE supplied
