Summary
We are seeking a caring, patient and proactive PA who can support a 13-year-old girl with a diagnosis of autism (with a PDA profile) ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, a genetic chromosomal disorder, sensory processing differences and generalised anxiety. The role would be to help support the individual with accessing the community. The ideal PA will be calm, empathetic, flexible and able to build a trusting relationship, responding sensitively to her emotional and sensory needs while promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing.
The role requires a female care driver who is calm, patient and reliable, with a good understanding of the child’s needs as outlined above and the ability to provide consistent, sensitive support.
The role would include supporting the individual to safely access the community and participate in activities that she enjoys while helping to promote confidence and wellbeing, while out in the community it would also include always maintain close supervision when in the community.
This would also involve encouraging positive social interaction and communication in ways that feel safe and meaningful for her.
