Job Role

As an HLTA, you will be a key figure in the school's leadership support. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading whole classes across various year groups to cover PPA time or teacher absences.

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons with enthusiasm, ensuring all students remain engaged and on task.

  • Adapting curriculum content to meet the diverse needs of learners within the classroom.

  • Collaborating with the wider school team to maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • HLTA Status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience).

  • ESSENTIAL: You must have previous UK experience working as an HLTA or in a senior support role within a primary school.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to process a new one).
