Personal Assistant / Support Worker Needed – Weekend Role

We are looking for a fun, energetic, and caring person to support a happy, bubbly young child with additional needs for 3 hours per week at weekends. Pay & Hours

  • £14.67 per hour
  • 3 hours per week
  • Flexible weekend shift (one block of time – day/time to be agreed)
About the RoleThis is a rewarding opportunity to spend time with a lively, playful child who loves to run, jump, and explore the world through his senses.He is pre-verbal and communicates by hand leading and showing you what he needs, so we are looking for someone patient, observant, and responsive to his unique communication style.Your time together will focus on:
  • ✅ Engaging in fun, active play (getting fully involved!)
  • ✅ Supporting social and leisure activities
  • ✅ Encouraging independence in a safe, supportive way
  • ✅ Assisting with personal and continence care (nappies)
About YouWe’re looking for someone who is:
  • Energetic, physically active, and happy to get involved on his level
  • Playful, patient, and able to follow his lead
  • Comfortable adapting to non-verbal communication (no Makaton required)
  • Willing to support with personal care needs
  • Reliable, caring, and keen to build a trusting relationship
Experience with children with additional needs or autism is helpful, but not essential, the right personality is what matters most.

Sixth form or college students with relevant experience are welcome to apply.‍‍ Support & Environment
  • You’ll initially work alongside family members to build confidence and a strong relationship
