Summary

Nursery Practitioner – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately


These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You will be supporting young children in North Walsham and the surrounding areas, helping to create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can learn, play, and develop confidently.

Duties as Nursery Practitioner:

  • Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Assist with the care, supervision, and well-being of children aged 0–5
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and early learning development
  • Contribute to observations and learning records when required
  • Support children with personal care routines where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with early years practitioners and nursery staff
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote children’s welfare at all times

Ideal Nursery Practitioner:

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development
  • Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
  • Adaptable across different settings and routines
  • Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
