The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role combining first-opinion day nursing with participation in the practice’s own out-of-hours service, which provides emergency care for three local practices.
You will be involved in all aspects of clinical nursing, including:
- Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
- Inpatient and emergency care
- Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare
- Laboratory diagnostics and imaging support
- Orthopaedic and advanced surgical cases
- Client communication and education
- Supporting the delivery of high clinical standards across the hospital
The out-of-hours commitment is structured and balanced, typically involving a 5–7 day block with equivalent time off in lieu the following week. Full rota details will be discussed during the interview process.
Hours & Work Pattern
- Full-time permanent position
- 4-day working week 40 hours
- Participation in a shared OOH rota roughly 1 in every 6 weeks (exact rota TBC)
- OOH blocks include 5–7 nights with the days in lieu the following week.
