Summary
The appointed Consultant will work closely with managers and professional colleagues to support the effective and efficient delivery of services, sharing responsibility with consultant peers for the medical contribution to service management. They will be expected to adhere to all Trust policies and procedures, including compliance with standing orders, financial instructions, and professional standards of conduct. Where the appointee has management responsibilities, they will be required to act in accordance with national employment legislation and the Trusts local personnel policies and procedures. The Consultant will also ensure that robust arrangements are in place for clinical communication, so that hospital staff involved in patient care are able to contact them promptly when on call.
