Summary
Your new company
An established and internationally recognised Lloyd's insurance broker is seeking to strengthen its London‑based Claims team with the appointment of a Marine Cargo Claims Broker. Operating across the Lloyd's and wider London Market, the business has a strong global presence and is known for its expertise in handling complex, international risks and delivering a high level of service to its clients.
Your new role
You will join a market‑facing Claims team specialising in Marine Cargo claims, supporting a global portfolio of business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring efficient progression and clear communication with all stakeholders.
You will liaise closely with Lloyd's syndicates, insurers, clients, surveyors and loss adjusters, preparing and submitting claims to the market, monitoring developments and maintaining accurate records throughout the life cycle of each claim. You will also support the production of claims reporting and work closely with broking teams to provide insight that supports renewal discussions and overall client strategy.
This role will provide strong exposure to international Marine Cargo risks and offers the opportunity to develop further within a technically strong and collaborative claims environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have experience working within a Lloyd's or London Market claims environment, with specific exposure to Marine Cargo claims.
You will have a solid understanding of claims processes, including working with ECF and other market systems, and be confident liaising with insurers and market stakeholders. You will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously, alongside a client-focused mindset and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast‑paced, market‑facing role.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside hybrid working and a City of London office base. You will be joining a well‑established, international brokerage offering long‑term career development and exposure to a diverse and global Marine portfolio.
