Summary
We are seeking to appoint a substantive Consultant Emergency and General Surgeon
(EGS) with a specialist interest in benign coloproctology and abdominal wall
reconstruction to join our team at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust. The individual
should have specialist skills in open and laparoscopic surgery in both the elective and
emergency setting. They should also have JAG accreditation in lower GI endoscopy. The
preferred elective sub-specialty interest is in benign coloproctology and abdominal wall
hernia, including abdominal wall reconstruction, though the role will principally involve
emergency and general surgery, within which the successful applicant will be expected to

Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU).
