Summary

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join the Ceredigion Welsh Language Support Team, with full ability and confidence to work through the medium of Welsh. Under the guidance of the Welsh Language Support Team staff, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting newcomers through immersion provision to develop their Welsh language skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to model the Welsh language consistently and positively in the workplace, promoting natural and confident use of the language in all aspects of daily work. The nature of the role will involve travelling between the Immersion Centre, i.e. Canolfan Penweddig (Aberystwyth), Canolfan y Felin (Felinfach) and Canolfan y Castell (Cardigan), or between schools across Ceredigion, in line with the needs of the Service.
