Summary

We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our team based in Cardiff.



Location: Cardiff - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: Permanent - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our collaborative team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of design delivery across a diverse range of projects, working from RIBA stage 1 through to completion. You'll be instrumental in shaping design solutions whilst working on exciting education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, MOJ, MOD, and mixed-use projects valued up to £75m.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Design Manager, you'll be working within our project delivery team, supporting them in managing and delivering innovative design solutions. Your day to day will include:

-Reporting to the Project Lead and managing the design process from RIBA stage 1 onwards

-Creating and maintaining design programmes, design scopes, and design responsibility matrices

-Coordinating appointments and schedules to track progress effectively

-Leading and attending design meetings and workshops with key stakeholders

-Delivering fully co-ordinated BIM projects including COBie data, model federation, and clash detection aligned with the UK BIM framework

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design Manager is great for you if:

-You have similar industry experience working on projects valued up to £60m

-You hold a degree or have equivalent experience in a related field

-You're an excellent communicator who can collaborate effectively with diverse teams

-You have proven experience of successfully delivering BIM projects aligned with the UK BIM framework

-You have experience working on a variety of schemes, ideally including healthcare and education
