Summary

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kidderminster
Salary:
£52,149 per annum + overtime (earnings up to £60,000+)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business. The Role:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
• Diagnose faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Perform bearing fitting and alignment
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in a safety-critical environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
• Work collaboratively within a shift-based engineering team

This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll utilise and develop skills in: Fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant servicing.

About You:

You’ll be a mechanically biased engineer with:

• Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing environments
• Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics & drive systems
• Experience with bearing fitting & alignment
• Arc & MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
• Knowledge of cutting and grinding safety regulations
