Summary

Facilities Management (FM) sits within the Property and Assets directorate and is critical to providing the safe and fit for purpose buildings that WSCC teams operate out of to provide critical services across the county. The FM teams work closely with building users, other departments, external partners, stakeholders, regional/national government, and our elected representatives to deliver the key outcomes required in the corporate West Sussex Council Plan.

The demands upon the County Council are constantly evolving, led by changes in demographics, legislation and resources. We need to ensure we respond to these demands positively and innovatively to ensure we make a positive difference to the people of West Sussex. Property and Assets deliver a key element of those services - unique as a service in that every part of the WSCC
Council delivery has a dependence upon accommodation from which to function. The accommodation this role enables are used every day and could not be more exposed to customer scrutiny.

Salary: £27,254 to £28,598

Working Pattern: Full time 37 hours per week
Contract Length: Permanent
Location: office based in Tradewinds, Bognor Regis and county wide travel

You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. A van is provided when required to pick up and deliver furniture or equipment, pool cars and pool bikes are also available if required.

The purpose of the Move Coordinator is to manage the logistics of moving clients, from one location to another. This includes planning, organising, and participating in the overall move process from start to finish.

The Move Coordinator must also be knowledgeable of buildings and locations across the estate. They must coordinate with move impacted staff, companies and other third-party vendors to ensure everything goes smoothly.


This is a mobile role, and you'll be out and about visiting different sites most days of the week, even over full days when moves are underway. There will be regular requirement for physical activity such as moving items of furniture, building desks and moving equipment between our warehouse and our hub offices.
